On November 30, my cousin Cathy, lost her son Mike in a tragic, untimely accident. I feel compelled to honor his life in some small way by posting his obituary.

Mikhail Alexander Strong, 22, a Bel Air native and 2002 graduate of C. Milton Wright High School, was tragically killed in a highway accident November 30, 2006. He was returning to his Air Force duty station in Utah after visiting family and friends in Bel Air and Virginia Beach for the Thanksgiving holiday. Mike was well known in Harford County and actively participated in the community. He entered the Air Force after September 11, 2001, completing several advanced electronics and satellite communications schools before being stationed at Hill Air Force Utah. Mike served a combat tour in Kirkuk, Iraq 2004/2005, reenlisting for another four years of Air Force duty while there. Mike was an avid auto track racing enthusiast for many years, racing in Cecil County and setting several short course track records in Utah. Mike was well known for his contagious sense of humor and adventuresome spirit. All who knew him respected and admired his ability to make others happy. He deeply touched and influenced the lives of everyone who came in contact with him.
Mike is survived by his loving parents Cathy and Mark Connor, Marty and Michele Strong. His brother Nicholas Ryan Strong. His sisters Taylor Albertson, Haley Connor, Tara Deluccia, and Megan Deluccia. His grandparents Matt and Martha Fitzpatrick, Charles Witte, and Barbara Strong. Mike also has many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends grieving his loss. A private service will be held December 6, 2006 for family and close friends at the Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive, Forest Hill, Maryland.
