Flying Feather 4-Miler

Here are Grant and I showing off our"big honkin' penguin medals" that we earned in the Flying Feather 4-Miler on Thanksgiving morning.

It was a great event with some of the best goodies around. In addition to the medal, finishers were awarded with a great scarlet and gray long sleeved technical shirt, a bottle of wine that went down great while cooking dinner later that day ;~) and a hat and gloves to help deal with the cold temps.

With almost 2000 runners I was thrilled to finish 81st with a time of 28:33. Grant finished 361st with a time of 34:14. A great time considering the fact that with basketball practice and school work he did no training at all!

We both agreed we can't wait to do it again next year!
